Covid-19 Safety Measures

We have implemented the following safety measures to ensure the welfare of our staff and customers. These measures run alongside our existing health and safety procedures.

  • A risk assessment has been carried out and logged centrally for all staff to access, outlining the risk associated with opening a restaurant to the general public. You can read our Covid-19 risk assessment here

  • In-depth, Covid-focused training for staff has been carried out in risk management, cleaning, hygiene, handwashing, social distancing, track and trace and customer care

  • An acrylic screen is in place at the main counter to avoid any contact between customers and the serving space

  • All staff get a daily temperature check at the start of a shift, and a strategy is in place for how to respond if anyone shows signs of infection

  • Staff have clear guidance on how to take precautions when travelling into work on public transport

  • Staff wash and sanitise hands regularly following the NHS guidance on safe handwashing, in particular when arriving at work and after accepting deliveries, clearing tables and taking payments

  • Frequently used equipment such as the coffee machine, door handles and fridges are sanitised every 30 minutes

  • Staff change into a clean uniform as soon as they arrive at work, and will wear clean face masks and aprons throughout each shift

  • Tables and chairs are sanitised at the start of each shift and between customers

  • Card payments only are accepted

We ask that our customers:

  • Take Covid-safe precautions when travelling to the restaurant on public transport

  • Download the NHS Covid-19 Track & Trace app prior to visiting the restaurant

  • Scan the NHS Covid-19 Track & Trace QR code when entering the restaurant, or otherwise record your name and contact details on our Track & Trace form

  • Use the sanitising stations available at the front door and counter, especially upon arrival

  • Observe 2-metre social distancing

  • Come as a party of no more than 6 people

  • Remain seated if you can. Wear a facemask when entering the restaurant, leaving your table to use the bathroom or ordering takeaway from the counter

  • Wait outside if there are 3 or more standing customers inside

  • Wait outside for takeaway food and coffees

  • Keep children with you and don’t allow them to touch produce on the shelves

  • Vacate the premises by 10pm
